Who does she think she is?

That’s a question I’ve been trying to answer for years.

For a brief time in my life, I wanted to pursue a career in professional ballet. I also considered becoming an actress. A teacher. An author. A comedian. A director. Last summer, I got really into air plants and driftwood. The next day, watercolors and postcards.

What’s always guided me through everything is writing. Whether in song, skits, print ads, or picture books, words have always given me a home when a place could not. Especially after living in four states, two countries, and one car (that was a weird week).

Bottom line: I’m happiest with a fresh pen and an empty notebook in front of me. With those tools, I can be anything.

And right now, I’m a copywriter. A damn good one.
