Fishbowl: Women in Advertising

In July of 2017, I joined the Fishbowl app, and immediately searched for a group I’d been longing to connect with: the women of our ad workforce. No group yet existed, so I created the “Women in Advertising” bowl to provide an accessible, anonymous space for women in the industry to ask every question they’d been too afraid to before.

Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to moderate this incredible community as it grows: now to a number of over 80,000 members. I’ve partnered with the Fishbowl team to help promote AMA events (with industry idols like Karen Costello and Cindy Gallop), virtual happy hours, voice-led events, and several female-led initiatives and startups either organized or popularized straight from the app.
