Fishbowl: Women in Advertising

How it started…. 2017. Limited network. Yet to work under a female creative director. Then, I became a beta member of a little app called Fishbowl. No group yet existed for women of our ad workforce, so I made one: the“Women in Advertising” bowl, an intersectional, anonymous space for women in the industry to ask every question they’d been too afraid to before.

How it’s going… 110,000 members (and counting)! A few AMA events (with industry idols like Karen Costello and Cindy Gallop), virtual happy hours, voice-led events, plus a couple female-led initiatives and startups either organized or promoted in our bowl.
